Our registration and screening process is a simple process that allows us to learn about you in order for us to find the most suitable Work Travel or Summer Camp assignment for you and your specific abilities. Please be sure to check the specific process in your home country office. 

Stage 1: Enrollment

Complete the First Interest Form to indicate wishes – please review the different programs we have and choose from the various options the one that most suits you.

Stage 2: Determine your relevant Program

Determine the best program together with an ACAWE representative - Once we receive your interest form we will contact you and together we will determine the program and set the process in motion.

Stage 3: Registration Fee

Pay Registration fee – you will need to pay a registration fee according to the program via PayPal. 

Stage 4: Paperwork Completion

Complete the appropriate documentation – for each program there are different forms, but in general you will need to complete an online application form that includes 3 References, a picture and your Resume/CV. There will be additional forms according to the program, the position and stage in the process. 

Stage 5: Employer Confirmation (Vetting)

Obtain confirmation from your Employer/Camp – once we have received all of your paperwork, we will send it to the Employer for final confirmation, in some cases this will follow with a phone interview with the Employer. Note that as per new Department of State regulations, every employer must be vetted and confirmed prior to the issuing of any visa documentation.

Stage 6: Visa Application

After the Employer/Camp has confirmed your employment, you will begin the J1 Visa process, including requesting and attending the US Embassy for an interview. We will send you the relevant documents (DS-2019) for you to start your visa process so that you can schedule an interview and pay the required fees needed. Stage 7: Acceptance Fee

After the Visa has been confirmed, you will be required to pay the Acceptance fee via PayPal according to the program. This fee will vary according to the specific program. See our Costs and Fees page for more details.

Stage 8: Insurance

Purchase insurance coverage through ACAWE – after obtaining the visa you will be required to purchase Health and Medical Insurance according to the regulations of the US Department of State. (Insurance for some programs is included). Click here for more details about insurance coverage.

Stage 9: Travel to the USA

Travel to the USA – Obtain your flight tickets to the USA and get started. After arrival at your employment location, you are required to validate your visa within 5 days of arrival and every 30 days thereafter.  

Stage 10: Work and Travel/Summer Camp

Work, Travel and make some $$$ - The salary varies by position as does the housing and other employment options. Please see our list of available jobs for more details.
